Thanks to the efforts of all the fantastic B&Bs and industry partners who made it such a great success, in 2019 we went bigger with a full week dedicated to showcasing the wonderful world of B&Bs. That’s why in 2018 we created the UK’s first National B&B Day.

We’d like to thank all of the properties, partners and potential guests involved in National B&B Week for their continued support and look forward to sharing an update on future plans in due course.ĭid you know that there are over 20,000 B&Bs in the UK, and that they generate over £2 billion annually to the UK economy? We think that’s something worth celebrating! Our Reopen Safely Resource Hub contains a wealth of advice, checklists and templates to help them welcome guests once again, and we continue to host our helpful podcasts and masterclasses. Meanwhile, we continue to redirect our efforts to support accommodation providers through this difficult time and limit the impact of the disruption they have experienced. If you can’t rearrange, consider paying for your stay even if you can’t check-in. Your generosity will be very much appreciated.īy doing any of the above, you will be helping the Great British B&B through the current uncertainty and your actions will help support not only the B&Bs themselves but businesses in the wider community too. The UK-wide lockdown has meant that B&B owners across the country have faced very difficult circumstances, with bookings cancelled and properties closed. This year, as a result of restrictions imposed in response to COVID-19, the difficult decision was taken to cancel the event.
